SadaPay and Mastercard are collaborating to bring the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region’s first numberless and contactless-enabled card to Pakistan, allowing users to conduct secure and hassle-free transactions.

The numberless card provides SadaPay users with a secure and convenient way to transact both online and offline. The physical version of the card is also numberless, which means no one can see any financial information, protecting users from identity theft.

Users must first register on the SadaPay website in order to receive a virtual card. You will also need a valid identification card to sign up for the numberless card waitlist. Cardholders’ financial information is securely stored within the SadaPay app.

Pakistan’s post-digital landscape

-Covid

The physical teal and peach card is completely optional and will be delivered to you at no cost. Over 150,000 people have already registered for early access.

The numberless card is secure and can be locked; users are notified as soon as they are charged. Cardholders can also get three free withdrawals at any ATM in the country, free local bank transfers up to Rs. 10,000, and no annual fees.

During Covid-19, shopping for basic commodities, making payments, and paying utility bills have all shifted online. As a result, having a secure digital platform has become critical.

Bazaar, a Pakistani startup, has raised $6.5 million in seed funding.

“Our priority is to provide all cardholders with a safe and secure digital experience.” Mastercard is a trusted partner who enables issuers and merchants to use technologies such as numberless cards to ensure the security of e-commerce and over-the-counter transactions, thereby protecting consumers and merchants from fraud. We are very excited to be launching the first numberless card in Pakistan and the Middle East and Africa region in collaboration with SadaPay. “We continue to collaborate with digital players across the region to launch exciting digital solutions and share innovations to advance financial inclusion, bringing us closer to a world beyond cash,” said Ngozi Megwa, Mastercard’s Senior Vice President, Digital Partnerships MEA.

We’re also working hard to bring even more innovative ideas to market, all in the name of delighting customers. “This is just the beginning, and we’re excited to be collaborating with Mastercard to truly explore the true potential of a financially included Pakistan,” said Brandon Timinsky, SadaPay’s Founder and CEO.
