Whatsapp is on top of few apps that have 5 billion plus download across the world. Whatsapp was launched on 9th of November 2009 Officially. Recently whatsapp has announced that Whatsapp business will not be free for people.

WhatsApp Officially issued a press release in relation with the app charges while reading an official document.

“We’ve given the WhatsApp Business app and its API to help businesses of all sizes manage their chats. We’ve listened to customer feedback on what’s worked and We believe that WhatsApp can help make messaging the best way for consumers and businesses to connect.”

Furthermore regarding charges, they said,

“We will charge business customers for some of the services we offer, which will help WhatsApp continue building a business of our own while we provide and expand free end-to-end encrypted text, video and voice calling for more than two billion people.”

Besides this official statements also talks about the pandemic of coronavirus. it says,

“The coronavirus fear has made clear that all businesses should move fast and efficient ways to service their customers and make sales. WhatsApp is most simple and convenient resource in this time for everyone. 175 million plus people every day message a WhatsApp Business account. Our research shows people prefer to message a business to get help and they’re more likely to make a purchase when they can do so.”

They added for general users of whatsapp:

“We know that most of the people will continue to use WhatsApp, perhaps simply to communicate with friends and family, that’s why we will keep developing great new features and protect people’s private conversations/chats.”
